‘झोंबिवली’चे शूट पूर्ण; दिग्दर्शक आदित्य सरपोतदार यांनी सांगितला शूटिंगचा अनुभव




हॉरर-कॉमेडी जॉनरचा ‘झोंबिवली’ हा मराठी सिनेमा पहिल्या दिवसापासून चर्चेत आहे. अर्थात मराठीमध्ये झोंबीज् पाहायला मिळणार तर चर्चा तर होणारच ना. तसेच ऍक्शन-ससपेन्स पडद्यावर उत्तम प्रकारे मांडणारे दिग्दर्शक आदित्य सरपोतदार, अमेय वाघ, वैदेही परशुरामी आणि ललित प्रभाकर यांसारखी तगडी स्टारकास्ट यांची साथ या सिनेमाला लाभली आहे तर सिनेमा कधी प्रदर्शित होतोय असं अनेकांना नक्कीच वाटत असणार. सध्याच्या परिस्थितीत सुरक्षिततेच्या दृष्टिकोनातून आवश्यक ती महत्त्वाची काळजी घेऊन ‘झोंबिवली’चे चित्रीकरण नुकतेच पूर्ण झाले आहे. नवीन वर्ष आता लवकरच येतंय आणि नवीन वर्षात हा सिनेमा देखील प्रदर्शित होणार आहे त्यामुळे आता फक्त काही क्षणांची प्रतिक्षा करावी लागेल.


या सिनेमाच्या चित्रिकरणाबाबतीत सांगताना दिग्दर्शक आदित्य सरपोतदार यांनी सांगितले की, “२६ जुलैला झोंबिवलीचं शूट सुरु झालं होतं जेव्हा अनलॉकडाऊन नुकताच सुरु झालेला आणि शूटिंगला परवानगी मिळाली होती. नुकतंच १२ नोव्हेंबरला शूट संपलं. संपूर्ण युनिटने एकत्र येऊन सिनेमाचं शूटिंग सुरु केलं होतं आणि आता शूट संपलंय तर आजूबाजूची परिस्थिती ब-यापैकी कंट्रोलमध्ये आली आहे. दोन-तीन महिन्यांच्या काळामध्ये शूट करताना बरेच चॅलेंजेस आले होते, मुळात COVID Pandemic हा मोठा चॅलेंज होता. अशा वेळी शूट सुरु केले ज्यावेळी पावसाळा होता, सिनेमाचं शूट दरवेळी इनडोअर होऊ शकत नाही. पाऊस आणि COVID Pandemic या दोन्ही गोष्टींवर मात करायची असेल तर अशा ठिकाणी जायला लागेल जिथे आपल्याला पाऊस पण कमी लागेल आणि COVID केसेस पण बऱ्याच कमी असतील असा विचार करुन आम्ही लातूर शहर निवडलं. शूटची सुरुवात मुंबईतून केली आणि नंतर लातूरला रवाना झालो. सिनेमाचं अर्ध्या अधिक शूट हे लातूर मध्ये झालं आहे. भर पावसाळ्यात आम्हाला वातावरणाने खूप साथ दिली. तसेच तेथील स्थानिक लोकांनी सुध्दा खूप साथ दिली.”


५०% क्षमतेने चित्रपटगृह सुरु करण्याची परवानगी मिळाली आहे आणि सिनेसृष्टीचा एक भाग म्हणून या सध्याच्या परिस्थितीवर मत मांडताना आदित्य म्हणाले की, "थिएटर्स सुरु झाले ही ही खूप पॉझिटिव्ह साईन आहे. माझ्यामते,  डिसेंबरच्या पहिल्या किंवा दुस-या आठवड्यापासून थिएटर्स जरा चांगल्या पध्दतीने सुरु होतील. सध्या या काळात आपला प्रेक्षक वर्ग आपल्याला कशी साथ देतोय, हे कुठेतरी आपल्याला बघायला लागेल. कारण आम्ही आता दोन्ही बाजूने बघतोय की एक प्रेक्षक म्हणून मी थिएटरला कितपत जाईन आणि फिल्म मेकर म्हणून लोकांकडून थिएटरला येण्याची कितपत अपेक्षा ठेवेन. या दोन्ही गोष्टी बघितल्या तर एकत्रच आहेत. आपण सिनेमा थिएटरमध्ये बघायला जाण्याची मानसिक तयारी करु तेव्हाच समोरची लोकं पण करतील. २५-३०% च्या क्षमतेनने जरी लोकं आली तरी त्यांचा कॉन्फिडन्सही वाढेल आणि ते इतरांना देखील हाच विश्वास देतील.”


सारेगम प्रस्तुत 'झोंबिवली' सिनेमाची निर्मिती Yoodlee Films यांनी केली आहे. हा सिनेमा २०२१ ला प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.

CELEBRATION OF 115th FOUNDER’S DAY OF THE BANK ON 19th NOV 2020

 


 

Mumbai, 19th November 2020: Canara Bank celebrated its 115th Founder’s day on 19.11.2020 maintaing the COVID guidelines at Canara Bank’s Head Office, J C Road, Bengaluru, in fond memory of its Founder Late Shri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai, a great visionary, philanthropist and an educationist.

Sri Ammembal Siddharth Pai, the great-great-grandson of Late Sri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai, Sri L V Prabhakar, Managing Director and CEO and Shri M V Rao, Shri Debashish Mukherjee and Ms Manimekhalai, Executive Directors and other senior executives of the Bank, graced the occassion. Indian Railway’s allots E-Office Project Phase 3 to RailTel Corporation of India Limited

 


Digitizes 8,64,894 e files and 34,87,689 e receipts hosted on RailTel’s Servers

 

New Delhi, Nov 18;  In a continued effort to digitize its office workingunder Modi Government’s Mission Mode Project  (MMP), Indian Railways and RailTel Corporation of India Limited (“RailTel”) have signed an memorandum of understanding forimplementation of e-office for Zonal Railways (Phase 3) using cloud enabled e-office application developed by NICs (National Informatics Centre) on November 11, 2020 . As per the MoU executed, the  NIC e-office platform project which is helping the Indian Railways digitize its manual records, is planned to be completed by Jan’2021 and cost approximately Rs 47.05 crores additionally.

 

In the first two phases which were completed in March 2020 and May 2020, RailTel had implemented the NIC platform for 106 establishments of the Indian Railways. As on 30th October, 2020, it hosts in its  Data Centres a total of 8,64,894 e-files, and 34,87,689 e-receipts i.e. letters, bills, office orders, created by 1,16,412 users of the Indian Railway in a continued  effort to replace the manual filing system and which we believe will lead to rationalizing operation costs besides eliciting transparency and going net zero on carbon footprints.

 

Talking about this initiative, Shri Puneet Chawla, Chairman and Managing Director, RailTel said” What started off as a pilot which we did for South Central Railways and Guntur division in 2019 has reached considerable scale and the transformation of the 165 year old Indian Railways is underway. Between April- October 2020 and during the lockdown, usage of NICs platform by the IR employees grew by 5.2 times for e-files and 6.9 times for e-receipts. The software which will be implemented can be accessed from anywhere, as it will be on a secured Virtual Private Network. Indian Railways is in the process of ensuring quick implementation and adoption. We will be doing workshops, audit offices, RPSF office and other establishments of Indian Railways in the third phase”.

 

A RailTel- Indian Railway communication on an MOU signing recently announced a partnership to deploy a Hospital Management Information System across 125 health facilities and 650 polyclinics across Indian Railways.

Government of Odisha approves Industrial projects worth INR 464.72 crores at the 96th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority meeting

 

 

State Level Single Window Clearance Authority of Government of Odisha, headed by the Chief Secretary, approves four investment proposals generating employment opportunities to over 873 in the state

Bhubaneswar, 17th November 2020: Today, the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), headed by the Chief Secretary Shri Asit Tripathy issued in-principle approval to 4 industrial projects to the tune of INR 464.72 crores in the Metal & Metal Downstream and Food processing sectors. These four industrial projects are further expected to render 873 employment opportunities in the state.

 

The details of the four projects for which in-principle approval was accorded by SLSWCA is listed below:

●      Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 72,000 cubic meters initiated by M/s Galax Industries Private Limited against an investment of INR 93 crores to be set up in Malipada, District - Khorda, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 310 persons.

●      A 120 KLPD grain-based distillery unit for manufacturing of Extra-Neutral Alcohol (ENA)/Ethanol and 4 MW cogeneration power plant in Khorda and Nayagarh against an investment of INR 151.72 crores, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 300 persons. 

●      M/s. Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited’s new unit at Lathikata in Sundergarh by setting up a Pellet plant of 1.6 MTPA capacity, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 195 persons.

●      A 4 MTPA Slurry Pipeline project from its proposed Beneficiation Plant at Koira to Pellet plant at Lathikata, Dist- Sundergarh initiated by M/s. Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited to be set up against an investment of INR 100 crores, which will generate an employment opportunity for more than 68 persons.

 

The state has attracted over Rs. 1,19,214.72 crores worth of new investments with potential employment opportunities for over 54,131 persons since February 2020.

Grand Annakut" Celebration in Akshardham Swaminarayan Temple, Powai

 



 '''Akshardham '', , a Swaminarayan Temple under Yogi Divine Sociey, on Sunday  (15.11.2020) celebrated the New Year (Vikram Samvat 2077), by organizing a grand Annakut. The event was streamed digitally because of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The celebrations began with Param Pujya Vashibhai, making a prayer and a Sankalp in the Mahapooja before the Lord for the sound health and happiness of all. It was followed by Param Pujya Dinkarbhai & Param Pujya Bharatbhai giving an inspirational message and blessings to all. At 12 pm around 500 items were put before and offered to the Lord in beautiful and creative ways. Later on, all the saint brothers and Pujya Madhuriben and saint sisters performed the final Aarti. The youths of the Temple offered their dedication in these difficult times by beautifully and creatively decorating the 'Annakut ' before the Lord..

LANDMARK DAY AT CSL LAUNCHING OF FIVE VESSELS AT ONE GO & KEEL LAYING OF TWO VESSELS

 




 


It was a landmark day at Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL) as it launched five (05) vessels at one go from its Building Dock at Kochi and also laid the keel for two (02) vessels. The vessels launched are two 8000 DWT Mini General Cargo Ships for JSW Shipping & Logistics Pvt Ltd and three Floating Border Outpost Vessels (FBOP) for the Indian Border Security Force. Keel laying was carried out for two more 8000 DWT Mini General Cargo Ships for JSW Shipping & Logistics Pvt Ltd. CSL achieved this milestone amidst the COVID -19 pandemic by working with available resources with necessary precautions.

 

 The five (05) vessels were launched by Smt Rameetha K, Scientist ‘G’, NPOL (DRDO) wife of Shri Madhu S Nair, CMD, CSL, while Shri Pranab K Jha, VP JSW Shipping and Shri Madhu S Nair, CMD, CSL, did the honours of keel laying for the two (02) new vessels in the presence of Shri Sureshbabu NV, Director(Operations), Shri Bejoy Bhasker, Director(Technical), Shri Jose VJ, Director(Finance) and other officials.


 


The Mini General Cargo Ships launched today are part of a series of four similar ships being built for the JSW group. These vessels are built and classed under the standards of Indian Register of Shipping. These ships will be used for transportation of dry bulk cargo such as coal, iron ore, dolomite, and limestone. The vessels, with a length of 122 Mtr and height of 7.20 Mtr and speed of 10 knots, will have a compliment of 16 crew. These ships are expected to ply on the Coastal route between Jaigarh Port and Dolvi Steel Plant in river Amba near Dharamtar Port. This programme, once implemented, would trigger one of the largest inland water transport cargo movements in India, which is in line with the Government of India’s vision for the development of the National Waterways.

 

The three FBOP’s, with a length of 46 Mtr, launched today are part of a series of nine vessels being built for the Water Wing of the Border Security Force. These vessels are designed in-house by CSL & classed by Indian Register of Shipping. Each FBOP is designed with stowage arrangements for four fast patrol boats, which can be launched and hoisted using its own davit system. The vessels will act as a floating base for the flotilla of fast patrol boats and will supply Petrol, Fresh Water and provisions to the smaller boats and are to be deployed on India’s Eastern & Western borders.

 

CSL is expanding geographically and has commenced Ship Repair Units at Mumbai, Kolkata & Port Blair in addition to its Kochi facilities. CSL is also setting up fully owned subsidiary shipyards at Kolkata (named HCSL) and at Malpe, Karnataka (named TEBMA Shipyards Limited) to cater to the construction of small & medium vessels as well as inland water vessels.  

 

CSL is also augmenting its infrastructure in Kochi and is currently investing around ₹2,800 Crore in the construction of a new 310 M long dry dock at CSL and a ship lift based Ship Repair Yard at Willingdon Island, Kochi.

Sequoia Capital backedIndigo Paints files for IPO

 



Mumbai, November 12, 2020: Pune based, Indigo Paints who stands to be the fifth largest company in the Indian decorative paint industry in terms of their revenue from operations in FY20 has filed its DRHP to raise approximately 1000 cr, as per market sources. The IPO is a fresh issuance aggregating to Rs 300 cr and an Offer for sale of up to 58,40,000 equity shares of face value of Rs 10 each by Investor Selling Shareholder Sequoia Capital through its two funds SCI Investments IV and SCI Investments V and Promoter Selling Shareholder, Hemant Jalan.

Besides identifying potential product needs and introducing differentiated products, the company manufactures a range of decorative paints including emulsions, enamels, wood coatings, distempers, primers, putties and cement paints under the primary consumer brand- Indigoand has an extensive distribution network across 27 states and 7 union territories particularly in Kerala, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. As of September 30, 2020, the companyhas three strategically located manufacturing facilities in India, located in the states of Rajasthan, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The net proceeds from the issue is to fund the capital expenditure for the expansion of the existing manufacturing facility at Pudukkottai; purchase of tinting machines and gyro shakers and repayment/prepayment of borrowings

The Indian decorative paints market is expected to record a growth rate of approximately 13% in value and 10.2% in volume through 2024, driven by an increase in the disposable income of individuals and families and various housing schemes. Emulsions is the largest and fastest growing product segment and in FY 19 the market was estimated at Rs 163. 9 bn.

ESAF Small Finance Bank net profit grows by 41.09%



Kochi: ESAF Small Finance Bank Limited, one of the leading small finance banks in India in terms of yield on advances, AUM growth rate and share of retail deposits (Source: CRISIL Research Report), has posted a 41.09% jump in net profit to Rs 130.42 cr for the half-year ended 30 September 2020, as against Rs.92.44. crore posted in the same period last year.

Commenting on the results, K. Paul Thomas, Managing Director and CEO of ESAF Small Finance Bank, said “The bank has performed well during the period and I believe the results show that the micro-entrepreneurs are in a recovery mode after the COVID-19 pandemic induced slow down, indicating a positive sign for the economy altogether.”

The total business during the period increased by 35.06% to Rs.15,582 cr. The deposits increase by 35.38% to Rs 8208 cr and advances increased by 34.70% to Rs 7374 cr. Gross NPAs as a percentage of gross advances decreased from 1.76% as at 30 September 2019  to 1.32% as at 30 September 2020 and  net NPAs as a percentage of net advances reduced from 0.62% as at 30 September 2019 to 0.19% as at 30 September 2020. The provision coverage ratio improved to 93.45% as at 30 September 2020 from 81.53% as at 30 September 2019. The CRAR was 24.29% with Tier I CRAR of 21.10% as at 30 September 2020, as against a regulatory requirement of 15% and 7.50%, respectively.

 

On the impact of COVID-19, K. Paul Thomas said “The bank's customers have shown immense resilience in the face of adversity. I believe the bank has taken suitable steps and sufficient safeguards to support the customers to tide over the crisis and bring them back to normalcy”. He also expressed his gratitude for the hard work and commitment of the employees in the face of the pandemic.

 

The bank opened 29 branches during the half-year ended 30 September 2020, giving it a total of 483 branches across 19 states and two Union Territories.
