New Delhi – August 26, 2025: Union Bank of India organized a Financial Inclusion Saturation Camp in Barwala Gram Panchayat, Panchkula District. The event was inaugurated by Shri Nitesh Ranjan, Executive Director of the Bank in the presence of Shri Vivek Srivastava, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India and Ms. Monica Gupta, District Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula District. Top officials from various public and private sector banks and large number of customers participated in the drive.

 

A nationwide campaign has been launched by Department of Financial Services for the saturation of Financial Inclusion (FI) Schemes at the Gram Panchayat (GP) and Urban Local Body (ULB) for three months from 01^st July 2025 to 30^th September 2025. Opening of bank accounts for unbanked adults under PMJDY; increasing enrolments under PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY; Awareness sessions on digital fraud prevention, among others key goals of the campaign.

 

During the event, Shri Nitesh Ranjan, Executive Director of the Bank emphasized on the importance and objectives of the Mega Jana Suraksha Saturation Drive. He also shared valuable insights on cyber fraud awareness and key government schemes such as PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, and APY.

 

Various exhibition stalls were set up to promote awareness and understanding of various financial products and services.

वडापाव म्हटलं की जिभेला पाणी सुटतं. वडा जसा तिखट-चुरचुरीत असतो तसंच नात्यांमध्येही गोडवा आणि तिखटपणा असला तरच ती नाती खरी रंगतदार होतात. अगदी हाच अनुभव देणारा कौटुंबिक चित्रपट 'वडापाव' लवकरच प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे. नुकताच या चित्रपटाचा धमाल टीझर सोशल मीडियावर प्रदर्शित झाला असून टीझरवरून हा चित्रपट एक गोड कुटुंबाची तिखट लव्हस्टोरी असणार हे स्पष्ट होतंय. ही रुचकर पाककृती प्रसाद ओक प्रेक्षकांसाठी घेऊन येत आहेत. विशेष म्हणजे हा चित्रपट प्रसाद ओक यांच्या अभिनय कारकिर्दीतील शंभरावा चित्रपट असल्यामुळे ते पहिल्यांदाच एकाच वेळी दिग्दर्शक आणि अभिनेते अशा दुहेरी भूमिकेत झळकणार आहेत. त्यामुळे हा प्रवास अधिकच संस्मरणीय ठरणार आहे.

टीझर अत्यंत सुटसुटीत आहे. धमाल मनोरंजन आणि कौटुंबिक मूल्यांचा संगम असलेली ही कथा प्रेक्षकांसाठी खास मेजवानी ठरणार आहे. या चित्रपटात प्रसाद ओक, अभिनय बेर्डे, गौरी नलावडे, रसिका वेंगुर्लेकर, शाल्व किंजवडेकर, रितिका श्रोत्री, समीर शिरवाडकर, सिद्धार्थ साळवी, अश्विनी देवळे-किन्हीकर आणि सविता प्रभुणे यांच्या प्रमुख भूमिका आहेत. एबी इंटरनॅशनल फिल्म्स एलएलपी, मर्ज एक्सआर स्टुडिओ, व्हिक्टर मुव्हीज लिमिटेड आणि अमेय विनोद खोपकर एंटरटेनमेंट आणि मोहसीन खान प्रस्तुत, सिनेमॅटिक किडा बॅनर अंतर्गत, प्रसाद ओक दिग्दर्शित या चित्रपटाचे अमित बस्नेत, प्रजय कामत, स्वाती खोपकर आणि निनाद नंदकुमार बत्तीन निर्माते आहेत. तर सहनिर्माते तबरेझ एम. पटेल आणि सानीस खाकुरेल असून संजय मेमाणे हे चित्रपटाचे छाया दिग्दर्शक आहेत. तर सिद्धार्थ साळवी यांनी चित्रपटाचं लेखन केले आहे.

दिग्दर्शक प्रसाद ओक म्हणाले, ‘’ 'वडापाव' एक अशी गोष्ट आहे जी लहानांपासून मोठ्यांपर्यंत सगळ्यांना आवडतेच. हाच आमच्या चित्रपटाचा गाभा आहे. कुटुंब, त्यांच्या नात्यांतील गोडवा-तिखटपणा आणि त्यातून मिळणारा भावनिक व विनोदी अनुभव अगदी लहानांपासून मोठ्यांपर्यंत सगळ्यांना आवडावा, असाच आमचा प्रयत्न आहे.’’

निर्माते अमेय खोपकर म्हणतात, ''मराठी प्रेक्षक कौटुंबिक चित्रपटांवर नेहमी प्रेम करतात. ‘वडापाव’ ही कथा त्यांच्या मनात नात्यांची खरी चव रुजवेल. टीझरवरूनच प्रेक्षकांच्या चेहऱ्यावर हास्य आलं, हेच आमचे पहिले यश आहे. हा सिनेमा हसवणार, रडवणार आणि विचार करायलाही लावणार.'' 

निर्माते निनाद बत्तीन म्हणतात, ‘’ वडापावचा जसा घरातील तीन पिढ्या मनसोक्त आस्वाद घेतात तसाच आमचा चित्रपट ‘वडापाव’ तीन पिढ्यांची गोष्ट सांगतो. संपूर्ण कुटुंबाने एकत्र पाहावा, असा हा चित्रपट आहे. तो घराघरांत पोहोचेल आणि लोकांना आवडेल यात शंका नाही.’’

निर्माते अमित बस्नेत म्हणाले, ''मी मुळात नेपाळचा असून मला मराठी संस्कृती, खाद्यपदार्थ, साहित्य, कला यांबद्दल नेहमीच आकर्षण वाटत आले आहे. यापूर्वी मी ‘लंडन मिसळ’ या चित्रपटाची निर्मिती केली होती आणि आता ‘वडापाव’ची निर्मिती करत आहे. मराठी खाद्यपदार्थ हे मुळात भावनांशी जोडले गेलेले आहेत. वडापाव त्यापैकीच एक. जीवनात आपुलकीसोबत थोडा तिखटपणा हवाच. नाहीतर नातं फिकं पडतं. हाच बॅलन्स दाखवणारा हा चित्रपट आहे. टीझर पाहूनच प्रेक्षकांना जाणवलंय की, ही कथा अगदी त्यांच्या घरासारखीच आहे. ओळखीची, तरीही नव्या चवीची.''

आयुष्य हा एक प्रवास आहे, कधी सोपा, कधी कठीण, तर कधी भावनांनी भरलेला. या प्रवासाला पर्वतांची साथ आणि मनाच्या नात्यांची ऊब मिळाली तर तो प्रवास खास ठरतो. अशीच एक वेगळी गोष्ट ‘मना’चे श्लोक’ या चित्रपटातून प्रेक्षकांना पाहायला मिळणार आहे.

या चित्रपटात मनवा आणि श्लोक यांचा प्रवास दाखवला असून, त्यात त्यांची नाती, विचार आणि स्वप्नं यांचा सुंदर संगम दिसणार आहे. नुकत्याच प्रदर्शित झालेल्या मोशन पोस्टरमध्ये ते दोघे पर्वतांच्या दिशेने चालत निघाल्याचं दिसत असून, त्यांचे पाठमोरे रूप या प्रवासाच्या कहाणीची उत्सुकता वाढवतं. या प्रवासात त्यांचं प्रेम फुलणार का, त्यांच्या सोबत आणखी कोण असेल, ते काय मागे सोडून आले आहेत आणि डोंगर त्यांना कोणत्या नव्या दिशेने नेत आहेत, हे जाणून घेणं प्रेक्षकांसाठी नक्कीच रंजक ठरणार आहे.

या चित्रपटात मृण्मयी देशपांडे, राहुल पेठे, पुष्कराज चिरपुटकर, सुव्रत जोशी, सिद्धार्थ मेनन, हरीश दुधाडे आणि करण परब यांची भूमिका आहे.

‘मना’चे श्लोक’ हा चित्रपट १० ऑक्टोबरला प्रदर्शित होणार असून, याचे लेखन व दिग्दर्शन मृण्मयी देशपांडे यांनी केले आहे. चित्रपटाचे निर्माते श्रेयश जाधव आणि संजय दावरा असून, हा चित्रपट स्टारलाईट बॉक्स थिएटर्स व नितीन वैद्य प्रॉडक्शन्स यांनी सादर केला आहे.

Presence of Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance and MD & CEO, Bank of Baroda highlights importance of the Nationwide Campaign

 

Sultanpur, 23^rd August 2025: Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, organized a Mega Camp at Amhat village in Sultanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, on 23^rd August 2025. The camp was held as part of the nationwide Saturation Campaign launched by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The campaign, which runs from July 1 to September 30, 2025, aims to ensure 100% coverage under financial inclusion and social security schemes at the Gram Panchayat (GP) and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) level.

 

As the convenor of the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) in Uttar Pradesh, Bank of Baroda played a key role in organizing the event.

 

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri M. Nagaraju, IAS – Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance; Shri Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Baroda; Shri Ankur Kaushik, IAS, Chief Development Officer, Sultanpur; Shri Shailendra Kumar Singh, Convenor of Uttar Pradesh State Level Bankers’ Committee & Zonal Head, Lucknow Zone and Shri Mithlesh Kumar, General Manager & Zonal Head, Varanasi Zone. Over 1,000 local citizens attended the event.

 

In his keynote address, Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary , DFS emphasized the importance of financial inclusion and accessibility of banking services to every citizen. He highlighted how the Government’s Financial Inclusion schemes play a pivotal role in empowering underserved segments of society by providing equitable access to formal financial services. The Government remains committed to every section of society by extending the flagship initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). He further shared that the saturation campaign reflects their resolve to reach every Gram Panchayat and Urban Local Body to ensure that all eligible citizens benefit from these schemes. He also interacted with Business Correspondents (BCs), Self Help Group (SHG) members, and other participants at the camp.

 

Commenting on the initiative, Shri Debadatta Chand, MD & CEO, Bank of Baroda, said, "At Bank of Baroda, we believe that true financial inclusion goes beyond account opening—it is about empowering individuals to actively participate in the financial system and benefit from government-backed schemes. This Mega Camp in Sultanpur reflects our commitment to strengthening trust and ensuring that every household has access to essential banking services. The energy and involvement of the community here is very encouraging and motivates us to take this mission forward with greater resolve."

 

As part of the programme, claim cheques under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) were handed over to beneficiaries. Certificates of Insurance under PMJJBY and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), along with enrolment acknowledgment receipts under the Atal Pension Yojana (APY), were distributed to newly enrolled beneficiaries. Re-KYC process under eligible PMJDY accounts were carried out.  The Chief Guest also visited the stalls. In addition, Business Correspondents (BCs) and BC Sakhis were felicitated for their excellent performance. 

 

Representatives from all banks operating under the Uttar Pradesh State Level Bankers’ Committee actively participated in this Mega Camp.
