Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2020 at NMDC Ltd., Hyderabad

 

As per the directives of Central Vigilance Commission, Vigilance Awareness Week – 2020(VAW-2020) is being observed from 27.10.2020 to 02.11.2020 on the theme “सतर्क भारत, समृद्ध भारत – Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India)”.

In compliance of the same Vigilance Awareness Week is also being observed at NMDC Ltd., the country's largest Iron Ore producing Navratna Central PSU. On the Inaugural day of VAW-2020, Integrity Pledge for organisation was administered in Hindi by Shri Sumit Deb, CMD and for citizens in English by Shri VVS Sreenivas, CVO to the employees at its Head Office, Hyderabad. Whereas, Shri P. K. Satpathy, Director(Production) read out the message of Hon’ble President, Shri Alok Kumar Mehta, Director(Commercial) read out the message  of Hon’ble Vice-President  and Executive Directors Shri B. Sahoo and Shri S. Surender read out the messages of Hon’ble Prime Minister and the Central Vigilance Commission, respectively, on observance  of VAW-2020. The pledge  administering ceremony was also Live-streamed across all the Projects/R&D & Regional Offices(ROs) of NMDC Ltd. located in the states of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand & New Delhi which enabled another five thousand employees posted over there to take the Integrity Pledge simultaneously, duly following health precautions suggested due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Various activities including individual & inter-departmental competitions and sensitization programmes have been arranged / planned for the employees during the Vigilance Awareness Week-2020 at NMDC which will culminate on 02.11.2020 with Valedictory Function & distribution of Prizes to the winners of various competitions.
