Inauguration of Swaminarayan chowk and Kakaji Marg at Powai 

To mark the everlasting remembrance of HD Kakaji Maharaj the road outside Akshardham temple powai was named as   “Kakaji Marg” and upto the circle which was also named as "Swaminarayan Chowk."

In 1978 late Shri Chandrabhan Sharma, Chitranjan Sharma & Gopal Sharma donated this land where the Akshardham Swaminarayan temple , Powai is standing today. By his divine blessings,  Philanthropic, Humanitarian, Social activities are carried out by the trustee's of Yogi Divine Society - Powai like Yoga, Youth Development, Education, Women Development etc. Kakaji worked for Development of powai
From 1964 to 1986 along with Shri Gulzarilal Nandaji the Ex Home Minister of india at the behest of Yogiji Maharaj.
The historic inauguration ceremony of "Swaminarayan Chowk" and "Kakaji Marg" was held in the presence of Honourable Member of Parliament Shri Manoj Kotakji,  P.P. NirmalSwamiji , P.P. Bharatbhai , P.P. Vashibhai

Smt. Vaishali Patilji (the sitting Nagar Sevika), Shri Shriniwas Tripathiji (nominated municipal councilor and popular social worker), CA Shri. Shailesh R Ghediaji (President of Mumbai BJP Professional Cell),  Jayprakash Singhji (BJP U.B.M. President) & many prominent persons and residents of Powai and devotees of akshardham swaminarayan temple.
