Multi-Channel Auto Marketplace, CarTrade Tech files for 2k cr IPO

 

 

Mumbai, 17 May, 2021: CarTrade Tech, a multi-channel auto marketplace enabling new and used automobile customers, vehicle dealerships, vehicle OEMs and other businesses via its several scalable and vertically integrated brands such as CarWale, CarTrade, Shriram Automall, BikeWale, CarTrade Exchange, Adroit Auto and Auto Biz has filed its DRHP with the regulator to fund raise approximately 2,000 crs, as per market sources.

The issue is a complete offer for sale of 12,354,811 equity shares by Investor and Other Selling Shareholders. There will be no funds received by the company via this Initial Public Offering.

 

Between April 2020 and March 2021, the company in comparison to its peer set had it’s platforms such as CarWale and BikeWale have a dominant online search popularity while Shriram Automall stood as a leading used vehicle auction platform based on no of vehicles listed for auction in FY20.

In the recent years the company has seen considerable expansion in its business, its total income increased at a CAGR of 45.94% between FY18 and FY20. Besides being the most profitable amongst it’s peers, the company saw it’s online and offline listings across platforms see a steady increase from 7.09 L in FY19 to 8.14L in FY21.

 

Profitable since FY2019, the company operates on an asset light business model, operating only 114 automalls which are in majority leased or rented from third parties. Its operating expenses grew at a lower rate than it’s revenues due to its operating, sales and marketing and technology leverage over the broad revenue base. CTL plans to continue investing into technology such as AI and machine learning in order to provide more relevant and timely information to its customers and enhance user experience.

 

CarTrade Tech’s consumer platforms i.e CarWale, CareTrade and BikeWale, collectively saw an avg of 29.96 million unique visitors per month during the 3 month period of Dec 30,2020 and the websites and apps have handled approx. 2.05 mn user sessions per day. Its platform’s offer a variety of data driven solutions across automotive transaction value chain for marketing, buying, selling and financing of new and pre owned cars, two wheelers as well as pre owned commercial vehicles and farm and construction equipment. 

 

CTL generates revenues from commission and fees from auctions and remarketing services, online advertising solutions, lead generation, technology based services to OEMs/Dealers/Banks and other financial institutions and inspection and valuation services. Its marquee institutional shareholders include affiliates of Warburg Pincus, Temasek, JP Morgan and March Capital.

 

Investment Bankers appointed to the issue are Axis Capital Limited, Citigroup Global Markets India Private Limited, Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited and Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities (India) Private Limited.

Chennai, May 13, 2021: Indian Overseas Bank on 12.05.2021 convened an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders and obtained their approval for issuance of 246,54,23,932 equity shares to GOI on preferential basis for the Capital infusion of Rs. 4100 crores by GOI.  The EGM was conducted through virtual medium and was attended by Directors, Shareholders and other stakeholders of the Bank.

 

The issue price of equity share is Rs. 16.63 per share (including share premium of Rs. 6.63 per share). Out of Rs. 4,100 crore, an amount of Rs. 2,465.42 crore will be credited to Share Capital Account and Rs. 1,634.58 crore will be credited to Share Premium Account. Accordingly, the shareholding of Government of India will increase from 95.84% to 96.38%.

Federal Bank ties up with Mashreq Bank to offer instant money transfers from UAE to India

 

Mumbai, 10^th May 2021: Federal Bank has entered into a strategic tie-up with Mashreq Bank one of the leading financial institutions in the UAE, to facilitate money transfers from the UAE to India. The partnership will support Mashreq’s faster payment product, QuickRemit, which was launched in 2017. Mashreq is one of the oldest banks in the UAE, and has a presence in twelve countries across Europe, US, Asia and Africa. It is also the only privately-owned bank in the UAE.

The agreement made it the first bank in the UAE to offer instant and same day credit facility to so many places, including the UK, Singapore, Philippines, Australia, Canada, Sri Lanka and majority of European countries.

Chennai, May 7, 2021: Chennai based Computer Age Management Services (CAMS), India’s largest registrar and transfer agent of mutual funds, commenced trading on NSE at Rs 2219.50 per share and closed at Rs 2210 per share. The total quantity traded was 95184 shares with a total delivery percentage of 37%. The Market Capitalization of company post-closing price stood at Rs 10790 Crores.

As per the Share Holding Pattern filed with NSE as on 30^th April 2021 the promoters hold 30.96% in the company and 47.90% is held by Institutions (including Mutual Funds, Foreign Portfolio Investors and Financial Institutions). In the Mutual fund category SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential, Aditya Birla and HDFC Mutual fund are amongst the top holders. The list of Foreign Portfolio investors includes Small Cap World Fund, Fidelity, and Goldman Sachs.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anuj Kumar, CEO & Whole-time Director, CAMS, said “The company commenced its public listing journey with listing of its shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Oct 1st, 2020. NSE investments was a shareholder in CAMS prior to the IPO, and while they exited the company completely during the IPO this shareholding precluded the listing of the company’s shares on NSE at that time. Listing on NSE is a significant milestone for the company and it will help in broad basing our investor base. We are happy to get the approval to list on NSE and gain access to their vast base of retail investors across India”.

Additionally, Mr. Kumar stated “We continue to remain focussed on expanding our business as a technology driven business services provider.
